The Ó£ÌÒÊÓÆµ Albany Business Improvement District (BID) is proud to present the return ofÌýthe Bites Camera Action free outdoor movie series, kicking off June 2 and running monthly through September in conjunction with Albany's arts celebration. TheÌýseries will take place at the H. Carl McCall State University of New York Administration Building, the iconic former D&H Railroad Headquarters, at State Street & Broadway in downtown Albany.

Seating for the events will open at 7:30 PM, with the movies beginning at dusk (approximately 8:30 PM). Bring your family, friends, chairs and blankets to experience a collection of family-favorite movies in Albany's Central Social District!

This year's schedule includes:


June 2:ÌýThe Lion King (1994)Ìý

  • Before the movie, Jordan Taylor Hill & Friends Present: Diaspora, A collection of rhythms and dance from West Africa, The Caribbean, and America. Performance starts at 7:30 PM.

July 7: The Iron Giant (1999)

  • Featuring a live musical score by apostrophebeats and Blue Ranger.

August 4ÌýNew Date August 5:ÌýSpace Jam (1996)Ìý

  • Before the movie: Lace up your sneakers and join Albany Patroons players as they lead fun youth basketball activities and give away four season tickets to lucky audience members. Activities start at 7:30 PM.

September 1: Akeelah and the BeeÌý(2006)

  • Before the movie, guests of all ages are invited to participate in a Spelling Bee competition!ÌýThere will be 3 elimination rounds for children, 3 elimination rounds for adults, and a final round for all remaining contestants.ÌýSpell words correctly in the final round to win a prize!Ìý

Ground rules: Alcoholic beverages, glass containers, and dogs or animals (excluding certified service or therapy animals) are not permitted at the event. Please do not attend the event if you have tested positive or display any symptoms of COVID-19, or if you have been in close contact with anyone that has tested positive in the past 14 days. COVID-19 is still a risk and attendees acknowledge that they are responsible for their own safety at the event.
